Dumisani Washington: Praying for my Nigerian brothers and
sisters who will vote in yet another pivotal election this weekend. Boko
Haram's massacre over the past 3 years has been intended to alter the
electorate to ensure sharia become the law of the land. May G-d nullify those
plans, and bring peace to Africa's most populace and prosperous nation. May He
protect the Christians who, like their brothers in Syria and Iraq, are being
slaughtered by Islamic jihadists bent on destruction. And may G-d especially
watch over the Igbo Hebrews who themselves suffered a genocide in Biafra just
one generation ago.

loyal, faithful ally in this struggle.

against the Igbos during the civil war, except before the war when there was
attack against them in the North, however, attacks like that is not strange in
Nigeria. We are living in a country where people are divided along tribal lines

and many religions. But the common identity we all share is the Nigerian

sinful for any group to try to break away from the union, it's equally
politically sinful for any group to try to dominate another.

I don't think we need Ann Frank diary to relate how genocide was committed. Large section of Igbo Jews ( including women and children) were killed and starved in that avoidable civil war.
