Remy Ilona's take on the Charles Soludo, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Pat Utomi, Peter Obi and Ngozi Ezekwesili feud

I generally refuse to be where others are, or to do what others do.

Recently 2 Igbos that are believed to be very gifted; Chukwuma Soludo, and Ngozi Iweala went to war, and another that has good records; Pat Utomi waded in to offer clarifications. A super-wealthy one, Peter Obi somehow joined in the fray. The fight was over the mismanagement of the Nigerian economy. Read: the Nigerian economy.

Many of  our people chose to be concerned that 'umu nne' should not be fighting in public.

I choose to be concerned that we have economic  heavyweights like these, and uptil date there is nothing called the 'Igbo Economy'. No papers are drawn up on the economic situation of the Igbos, and of Igboland. I choose to be concerned because I have a suspicion that all the fighters would spurn a call to head their clan unions-a position that a much-bigger than them Chinua Achebe accepted---but that was still in the older, better days.
